Overview of research projects

Prince Rupert's drops made of glass with high strength resulting from residual stresses.

[Physics 6, 60 (2013)]

The group addresses a broad range of fundamental questions in soft matter systems using a combination of theoretical and computational techniques. Our research encompasses low-temperature anomalies of glass and the glass transition, nonlinear flow phenomena of viscoelastic fluids, the motion of colloidal probe particles in complex environments, spontaneous breaking of symmetry in crystals,  and the non-equilibrium physics of active fluids.
